Faith in Transition

In today's faith communities, more people are beginning to question the teachings they were brought up in, have been wounded by abusive clergy, or suffered in isolated cultic homes. This presents an incredible difficulty for places of worship as well as for those who have been wrestling with their faith. This is a time of transition in faith. We all grow and question while we wrestle with our beliefs at different times in our lives.

Over the summer months we will have open house evenings for those interested in a casual time to get together for some food and time of open discussion. You can ask questions, no matter how tough they might be. We have no "master of the meeting", as we are all equal. All we ask is that all discussion be tempered with respect and kindness. We have no agenda to lasso you into a hierarchy theological box nor collect anything from your wallet.

We simply offer a place where you can openly discuss beliefs as we wrestle with those things that you may be unsure of and each individual is encouraged to seek the Divine for their answers. We do not claim to have all the answers, but we believe in One who does. Our prayer is that we can seek Wisdom together and develop an open community of friends to walk in this life together.

We are not looking to start another church, for we believe the people are the community of faith no matter where or how often they meet. This is what makes our get-togethers so unique. We will not attempt to sway anyone to one place or another. Just come hang out with other people who enjoy the freedom to inquire about all perspectives of the Divine.

Proverbs 11:14 "Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety." (ESV)
Ralph Waldo Emerson- "Peace cannot be achieved through violence, it can only be attained through understanding."
Susan Skye- "You can't punish yourself into change. You can't whip yourself into shape. But you can love yourself into well-being."
Francis Bacon- "A prudent question is one-half of wisdom."
